4/29 I end up owning again
Well this has been a pretty crazy experiment. I wrote out what all could I do to achieve my weightloss goal, then I asked myself if it was worth it. The answer was an overwhelming yes, so I have been pushing myself harder these last few days then I ever have before. I can't wait to continue my success and see my results at the end of the month. Well gotta get up early tomorrow, so gonna hit the hay :). Later
4/28 Keeps getting better
This update is a little late, but I have just been killing it. Up at 8am every morning (as I mentioned before I used to sleep in till 2 or 3) and first thing I do is go to the gym. I went today (4/28 ) and really pushed myself hard. I have all my meals planned out perfectly, and all my clothes washed and laid out when I get up in the morning. I then do some work and random tasks in the afternoon and go out to the gym again in the evening. I ended up burning about 1500 calories today. At this pace I will shatter my goal of 30 lbs in one month. I am really gonna use EFT and all the other tools I have to make sure I can keep up this pace.

4/27 Big day in my personal growth
Today was the first day I did the "overwhelming force" tactic. You can read more about it here.
http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog/2005/09/overwhelming-force/
Basically the gist is that you go all out with total force on something until you get it done. It requires a bigger upfront commitment, but in the end will save you time. Today was my first day using overwhelming force and I have to say it was a homerun, I smashed it out of the park. I made a schedule for what I was going to do for the day, and I followed it to a T. I made a list of the foods I was going to eat, and exactly when I was going to eat them. And I followed it up to a T as well. I think some things that really helped me was that all my clothes were lined up, my breakfast was ready to go. I just got up, ate a quick but filling breakfast and went right to the gym. I burned 840 calories in an hour (tieing my all time high, well actually breaking it really because it had taken me 1:05 to get 840 calories before). I went home and did some work.I kind of stagnated in the afternoon, but I was planning on it. So everything really just went according to plan. I went to the gym again the evening and burned 785 calories. Taking my total calories burned for the day at 1625. I had two good workouts, and I followed my scheduled diet perfectly. I am pretty excited about this day, but pretty pooped as well. Gotta go to bed soon!

4/26 Big news!
I am kicking off another exciting part of the blog. Phase 2, overwhelming power. Steve Pavlina's blog has a great article about what overwhelming power is (in a nutshell its going at something with all out total fucking force) and completing a goal that would normally take you a much longer time to complete. Well its time to give it a go, I have been doing pretty well so far. I had another decent session at the gym today (450 calories in a half hour). But I am kicking up another notch.I have never been able to get much done or focus on one thing for too long, so this is going to be a big challenge for me. But, I am up for it. I am waking up at 8am tomorrow, I normally get up around 1.

4/25 Good gym session, went to the store
Got up this morning and first thing I did was some weightloss EFT, Boo Ya! I ate some breakfast and headed out the gym (wanted to get my workout in early because they close early on the weekends). Had a good workout. I did the ellipsis machine for 65 minutes and burned 720 calories. I am pretty sore from working out so hard this week, so I took it a little easier. I then lifted some weights for 20 minutes though, and that really got a sweat going.
I went to the store and bought a bunch of organic food. My diet isn't the greatest and consists of ice cream and stuff like that, but the good news is I generally it eat in small doses and really watch the calories. So far I have really been doing good, hopefully I can finish the week out strong ;).

4/24, I have resisted temptation so far.....
Well I had another good workout at the gym. Today I burned 862 calories in 65 minutes. I have also been better about eating today. I got up and had a veggie corndog and some ice cream (lol) don't worry though, it was a small ice cream and only 110 calories. Then I had a very nice workout at the gym. I had to get some moles taken off this after noon, but it didn't slow me down! I don't know if its the EFT or the exercise or what, but I have been feeling very good as of late.
When I got back from the gym, guess whats waiting for me. Some delicious pepperoni pizza, I think my dad tries to sabotage my success sometimes to an extent. Luckily I have able to resist temptation and threw in some veggie nuggets (they are cooking now) and asked my mom to cook me something healthy. So it looks like I will fight off temptation :). Maybe that EFT for cravings had a big effect. I am going to go to the store tonight and get some food so I can play my meals out a little more. I am also going to kick up the water drinking, and make sure to take my supplement ( I have been pretty lax on it since we started)
Ok thanks again! And btw if anyone is actually reading this blog and comments on this post, I will send them 10$ via paypal. (First person only) (offer expires in 24 hours)

4/23, Slip up! lol
Well the title is a tiny bit misleading. I did have a big slip up though, and I am pretty disappointed about it. I should start off by saying I have done pretty good with eating today. I had some light pringles and strawberries for snacks when I got up. I had a very nice workout today, I even beat my previous record for most calories burned in an hour! (my old record had been 823, today I shattered it with 840!). I am pretty excited about this, I really had to put all my effort into breaking my old record, and its going to be hard to break that record again for a while.
The slip up came when I got back from the gym. I was freaking starving and whats waiting on me when I get home?! A nice big helping of Chinese food (happens to be my favorite food). I should have known this was coming because my Dad always brings home Chinese food on Thursday nights. Sigh. If I had remembered I might have been able to prepare better and avoid temptation. Well I put all the food on my plate (a nice big serving of Chinese) and I go what am I doing!? And I tapped right then and there, the craving went away pretty thoroughly (though it was super intense) And I was able to put the Chinese food back in the fridge and put something healthier in the oven. I told myself that I was going to get one last whiff of the Chinese food and feel the craving again so I could tap it out better (big mistake lol). And once I got a second whiff of that Chinese food there was no going back. Luckily, much of it had already been eaten so I was able to save more calories then my control at the time would have allowed. I came sooooo close to fending it off, pretty frustrating, but I am going to focus on the positives on the day (like my great workout) And just not eat almost anything for the rest of the night.
I have been doing really well, EFT has not failed me yet, but I do have to put myself in a position to use it correctly to avoid situations like this in the future. The meal was likely about 1300 calories plus the other food I ate earlier we are looking at about 1800-1900 calories. Which is ok with my big workout I guess, but I am going to go very lightly on food for the rest of the night.

4/22 Keeps getting better
Well I haven't even needed EFT to get me going today! ;). I guess the EFT I did yesterday still had a stronghold in my mind. I was a little tempted by some cookies, but I felt the craving in me and did a brief tapping. I should mention that even though I felt tempted by the cookies, the craving was not nearly as strong as usual. This is good progress I think. I am focusing on drinking nearly a gallon of water today. I have been trying to spread my meals out as well. I made sure to get up this morning (actually afternoon) and have breakfast upon my waking up. I had a nice big serving of saltless cashews (delicious btw). And ran some errands, (just got home from a longgg session in the gym). I burned 854 calories in one hour on the ellipsis machine. And then lifted some weights, which was fun and challenging.

I am following Mens health year long work out routine. I came home and had a big delicious helping of boiled sweet potatoes, mmmmmmm, and broccoli, and an organic bean burrito. It was a pretty delicious and satisfying meal.
So I definitely think the EFT is making a big difference. I haven't felt this pumped and ready to go in a long time. ;). I am going to do some resistance to exercising EFT tonight, and do some weight loss EFT as well.
Till next time!

4/21
Well I got up firs thing morning and did EFT for weightloss. "Even though I have no control over what I eat" I modeled after this video -http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lDABIwR99qg&feature=channel_page
I like her style, and I have gotten results modeling her closely. When I did my EFT this morning I imagined the things I normally give into, I have a big craving for donuts. So I thought about the donuts and my craving this morning when I did EFT. When I was thinking about the donuts during the day I remembered my EFT and it definitely seemed to help me control the craving. I had a really good workout as well. I burned 707 calories on the ellipsis machine after an hour. Unfortunately, I was REALLY resisting working out. And I was not in the mood to do EFT to get me to work harder, so working out for an hour was a grind. But I am glad I did it any, tomorrow I am going to do some EFT for exercise resistance.
Throughout the day I have had much better control of what I eat, I have eaten meals throughout the day and they have all been pretty healthy. My dad even brought home pizza and I passed. ;). A pretty unusual occurrence for sure.
So my first day was a smashing success. Tomorrow I am going to do exercise resistance EFT, and make sure to do my weight loss EFT again. Thanks for reading!

4/21 Getting started
I am just going to give you a brief introduction to my blog and my experiments. My goal is to use EFT constantly and consistently and do it as thoroughly as possible every time I experience an obstacle in the way of my weight loss. If I don't feel like exercising, I will use EFT to get my motivation stronger then ever. If I feel like eating a doughnut, well I am going to use EFT to banish that craving. I have never been successful with weight loss, but I hope all that changes. EFT has been a very powerful tool in my life. I hope its a powerful tool for you as well. I am not an EFT expert, and I am not selling anything. Just doing this for myself and hopefully for others ;).
Hope you enjoy the journey.
